Adverse Weather, Safety and Cancellation or Postpone of class

For Group Classes Held In Public Pools:

 

  • Swimwerks reserves the rights to cancel/ postpone class/ lesson for safety reasons should there be any bad weather. (45min – 60 min in advance before swimming lesson) Weather forecast retrieved from Government website eg; ‘NEA Lighting Alert.
  •     
  • As we have no control over public pool closure due to bad weather, group class students may proceed to class and lesson shall resume if lightning risk is lifted during class duration. Do note, should the pool be close before during lesson, it’s still considered as one lesson conducted.
  •     
  • For group classes, should there be two full lessons missed during the month due to pool closure caused by bad weather, one make- up lesson will be scheduled for the group. All re-schedule for make-up lesson is subjected to Swimwerks schedule and availability.
  •     
  • For all group classes, absent will be considered as one lesson even with valid (e.g. - unwell, overseas trip, school camps, water too cold, “women’s related health issue” and etc.).

 

 

For Private Classes Held In Public Pools:

 

  • For all private classes, should there be 2 lessons or more cancelled by students within the month, a slot reservation fee of $100.00 will be charged. Even with valid reasons e.g.: Student unwell, overseas, CCA, camps & etc. Reason being, our coaches time slot are allocated specially for your swimming class.
  •     
  • Swimwerks reserve all rights to assign its coaches to its respective swim classes.

 

 

For Classes In Condominiums:

 

  • Swimwerks will adhere to NEA (National Environmental Agency) guidelines on weather forecast to determine cancellation or postpone of class if there is lighting risk or low visibility due to heavy rain for safety reasons.
  •     
  • Once class have commenced or In the midst of lesson, should there be any bad weather, it will still be considered as one lesson.
  •     
  • For all private classes, additional or cancellation of lesson required a one week notice and is subjected to Swimwerks schedules and availability.
  •     
  • For private classes, should there be 2 lessons or more cancelled by students within the month, a slot reservation fee of $100.00 will be charged. Even with valid reasons and notice eg: Student unwell, overseas, CCA, camps & etc. Reason being, our coaches time slot & resources has been allocated for your swimming class.
  •     
  • For private group classes, should there be 2 lessons or more cancelled by all students within the month, a slot reservation fee of $50.00 per student will be charged even with valid reasons and notice. eg: Student unwell, overseas, CCA, camps & etc. Reason being, our coaches time and resources has been allocated for your swimming class.

  • All class fees quoted and provided are EXCLUDE any Security Deposit & Charges from the premises. ( eg. Condos, clubs) and all fees to be borned by residents/students.
  •     
  • Each condominium has their unique set of in-house rules and regulations which may dictate the class size, days, coaching time and some even requirement for a security deposit (Refundable when lessons have ended and regulations are adhered to.)
  •     
    1. All customers whom are condominium residents engaging Swimwerks services are deemed to have checked with your condominium management office on all its regulations. Swimwerks will do our best to cooperate and comply with all regulations before commencing any classes.
    2.     
    3. Should there be any discrepancy in the swimming classes or its progression of lessons, Swimwerks reserved the rights to relocate all lessons to the nearest public pool or your alternative pool (of your choice) within the vicinity.
    4.     
    5. All class fees quoted and provided EXCLUDES any Security Deposit & Charges from the premises.
    6.     
    7. All security deposit made payable to condominium management for swim classes are to be borne by students if you are the only class we are teaching in that condominium. Swimwerks instructors shall not be held liable should the deposit be forfeited.    

 

 

Swimming class

Safety

 

  • Safety is our first priority in Swimwerks, together with all our coaches, we uphold a Safe and Fun learning session to all our students. At all times, parents and/or guardian are responsible and must keep a close supervision of his/her children during classes and when your children are near the water.
  •     
  • Swimwerks and its swimming coaches shall not be held liable or responsible for any damages, Injuries or death while attending our swimming classes/ lesson.     

 

 

Physical Contact During Lessons

 

  • As swimming is a motor skill that requires correct postures, positions and movements hence coaches at times in good faith may have physical contact with students during lessons to support, guiding of postures, correction of strokes and/or to assist students when in distress and/or in good to ensure better learning & safety. We trust our coaches professionalism during each and every swimming lesson to all students. Should you not feel comfortable, please kindly highlight or feedback to us at Swimwerks.
  •     
  • All Coaches assigned are subjected to Swimwerks Coach availability.

 

 

Payments

  • All students are required to make a full payment and a one month deposit at original price before the commencement of classes.
  •     
  • A One-time registration fee of $20 will be applicable.
  •     
  • Full payment at promotions rates is to be made for all special offers and promotions before the commencement of classes.
  •     
  • Lesson fees will be collected on the first session of every month. Kindly ensure prompt payment is made to prevent any disruption.
  •     
  • All classes are schedule to be four lessons per month. However, for months that has five weeks, the 5th week will be considered a rest week unless otherwise stated.
  •     
  • All admission fees and pool-related expenses will be borne by the student.
  •     
  • Payment mode can be made via Cash or Bank Transfer. For bank transfer, original receipts or screenshots to be provided for verification purposes.
  •     
  • An official receipt will be issued upon collection of payment.    

 

  

Refund and Transfer Policy

  • No refunds will be made for any classes.
  •     
  • No transferring of classes/lessons to any third party.   

 

  

Temporary Discontinuation

  • Should a student require to temporarily discontinue form existing swimming lesson/ class. We allow a temporary discontinuation to a maximum of 1 month.
  •     

Withdrawal

  • Students need to provide a 1-month notice in advance and your deposit will be used to offset the last month of lesson fees.
  •     

   

Update of details

  • To prevent communication lapse and ensure smooth updates of classes and promotions, please keep Swimwerks updated on any changes of personal particulars.
  •     
  • Parents also agree to allow Swimwerks to send occasional updates and promotions to the furnished address and contact number.
  •     

   

Marketing & Advertising Rights

    • Swimwerks reserves the rights to use any photograph/video taken at any classes without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video.
    •     
    • Swimwerks may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by Swimwerks including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, social media etc.
    •     
    • To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent or legal guardian.
    •     
    • A person attending any Swimwerks classes who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to Swimwerks.
    •     
    • Any person or organization not affiliated with Swimwerks may not use, copy, alter or modify Swimwerks photographs, graphics, videography or other, similar reproductions or recordings without the any authorization from Swimwerks

   

   

Swim Assessments & Certifications

      • All students participating in "Learn to Swim" classes, we teach in accordance to our in-house syllabus and/or 'Swimsafer Syllabus'.
      •     
      • It is NOT COMPULSORY for students to be register for any swim assessment nor is obligated by our school to send all our student for swimming assessment.
      •     
      • All swim assessment are subjected to our school decision and subjected to booking availability or test date availability.
      •     
      • Upon swim assessment, results are deems as FINAL by the testing Organisatons and/or school. Swimwerks & coaches shall not be held liable for any result marked. All re-test shall be charge as accordingly with conditions apply
      •    

Swimwerks reserves all rights to make changes to above said terms and conditions without prior notice.
